Hey Giles,

The instructions for using the 2.8 firmware are in the develop branch of the BrewTroller-Official github repo. Basically you are using cmake to build instead of the arduino IDE

I also think its important to note that that firmware is still considered ALPHA and is not free from bugs or issues.

Adam,
The window on my laptop was too brief to be able to read, But I know that it is not getting in as I changed the boil off from % to GPH and it is not showing up when the unit is reset/turned on, still at %.. I did find one error on my part in that I had the RGBIO set up active, it is now rem'd out with no change. Also I noticed that the little Netgear WIFI unit is not being picked up by my laptop,
Mike

Update, I have also tried changing the flow control from none, to XonXoff, and hardware. on the USB port 3, no I have not seen the lights flicker near the USB port on the Phoenix 1.0 board. I do get the musical connect/disconnect on my laptop on every plug in or unplug. No change in the onboard config.

Something must still be funky with the command you are issuing if you are only seeing a brief flash.

Though, it just occurred to me.. are you using Start>Run to issue the command? or are you opening a command window and then issuing the command?

I am using the start/run methd. I also wondered about whether the spaces I have in the string are needed. Also wondered if I needed the full path to the hex file (c:./.....).

I thought I had replied to this.. sorry about that!

start/run won't work well.. you might be able to finagle it... but its bet to use the actual command line terminal. and if you are in the same folder as the hex file when you run the command, then you don't need the full path, otherwise you do
