The 3.1 BT I was using had auto/manual header pins for heat outputs and I used a BT relay board fro valves. The current plan is low tech...with a old Brewtroller relay board for the valves. I am using on/off/on 3 way switches and was curious how others were setting up heat and valves (I have power open - power closed style valves).

Well, in order to use on/off/auto you would need an RGBIO board from widegeneering.

widgeneering.com/i2c-8-channel-rgb-controller-RGBIO8.html

That will give you 8 switches (and the ability to use RGB LEDs as indicators) to control your outputs with 3 way switches.
