I sent out an email last night confirming the 3 way valve orders from people, then I will be able to get an estimated shipping time from the vendor. Please respond to that email if you have 3 ways ordered.

Hi,
Showing my ignorance here ( ) but could someone let me know some info on the three way ball valves. The question is does the flow get blocked until one of the two outputs is selected or does the valve just switch the flow from one output to the other (I.e. There is always fluid flowing in one direction or the other)?

Unlike manual ball valves that can have 2-4 total positions, the actuated ones usually only do two regardless because it reduces cost of the actuators. Though there are typically two kinds a three-way ball valves, L ports and T ports.

What was traditionally ordered at Ocsys was 2 position L ports that allowed for Bottom-Left or Bottom-Right flow. So this is probably a really good question to ask Adam what he bought. If he bought T port ball valves then you should be able to adjust the ball manually to give you options for your 2 positions. For example check out the spec sheet for the 3-way KLD valves we used to buy. Notice that you have four options as to which two positions to support at any one time.

Adam did you get L port or T port 3-way ball valves? Is there time to change to T ports if not?

Thanks!
